Held Retreats: A Patchwork ministry
Pieces of Renewal
With a kickstart campaign coming soon, our faith-centered Black Forest cottage will provide a peaceful, exclusive haven for one affinity group at a time.
During the day, gentle, peer-led activities will offer structured support while still honoring each person’s pace and story.
It is designed as a calm space for slow, mindful restoration—a true haven for deep and sacred heart-work.

Our Daily Flow
These 5-day retreats will provide a grounded rhythm of trauma-informed support. While our team is motivated by Christian faith, our program schedule respects individual agency, offering a professional, safe, and nurturing environment for every guest to process their unique journey without pressure.
Healing Grace Through Equine Care
Find quiet restoration by assisting at a local partner rescue, helping to care for horses in need.
Gardening for the Soul
Cultivate life with grounding nature-centered activity in our peaceful community garden, fostering growth in supportive indoor and outdoor settings.
Gentle Support & Reflection
Engage in peer-led grief work, creative arts, and pay-it-forward projects. Guests may also attend optional chapels if desired, though these are never a requirement.
Retreat Concepts
Our Principles
We invite any adult seeking healing from grief or trauma. You are welcome to bring up to three adult support persons to walk alongside you in the quiet seclusion of our private cottage.
Who can participate here?
What defines the retreat mission?
We provide a gentle sanctuary grounded in grace. Through nature and peer connection, we create a soft space for you to honor your own narrative and experience holistic restoration.
How is faith integrated here?
While Patchwork is a Christian ministry, we will respect every guest's individual worldview. For this reason, spiritual elements like chapel are purely optional.
Are there scholarships available?
Accessibility is a core value. For our 2029 launch, we are developing a sponsorship program to help cover costs for those who may need financial support to attend our retreats.
Do guests maintain their personal autonomy?
Yes. We believe in your inherent dignity and agency. Guests maintain full freedom over their choices and belongings. Staff will only intervene in the event of a medical emergency, if a guest is an immediate threat to themselves or others, or as mandated by law.
What kind of oversight do you have?
Your safety is our priority. Programming is guided by a licensed behavioral health consultant, and staff are trained in trauma-informed care and crisis response. All peer staff pursue full Colorado Peer Support Professional (PSP) credentialing.
We maintain rigorous standards through background checks, insurance, and legal oversight, while ensuring financial transparency for all our donors and guests. Our annual budget is available upon request.
